How long have you worked with Beauty Works?
I have worked closely with Beauty Works as an Education Ambassador for nearly 2 years now! It’s gone by so fast!
What’s the best piece of advice for someone starting out in the hair extensions industry?
Stay consistent, find your niche and never stop learning. The start can be challenging, but learning from every experience will perfect your craft. Focus on what you love most - whether it's a particular method, style, or creating content on social media. Passion will set you apart and allow your business to thrive. The industry is always evolving, so continuous education is key.
What do you think makes Beauty Works so special?
Beauty Works stands out because they truly listen to their customers' needs and continually evolve their methods and products, positively impacting both stylists and clients.
What hair concerns can you solve by using hair extensions?
Hair extensions can address common concerns like sparse areas around the front of the hair. Using extensions as ‘fillers’ not only adds thickness but also boosts clients’ confidence.
What would you say is your career highlight?
There have been many highlights, but my proudest moment is working as Maya Jama’s extensionist for her Beauty Works collection - a real ‘pinch me’ experience!
What is your favourite hair extension method?
Hands down, the XXS Weft. It’s incredibly flat and discreet, delivering the most natural, full transformations. It’s also fantastic for creating multi-tonal blends by stacking different shades.
What is your favourite Beauty Works hair extension shade?
For blondes, ‘Sunset Boulevard’ is a firm favourite, and for brunettes, ‘Dark Chocolate’ is the go-to. Both shades are beautifully toned and versatile.
What do you think is the most underrated Beauty Works extension shade?
‘Amalfi Blonde’—it’s my personal favourite and a timeless shade that works perfectly all year round.
What’s your favourite moment during a client’s hair extension journey?
The final reveal—showing clients their transformation in the mirror. Seeing the joy and confidence they gain is truly unbeatable.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since becoming an educator with Beauty Works?
Everyone has different strengths. Teaching students from diverse backgrounds has taught me that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Finding your niche and supporting each other are crucial elements in this industry, and as an educator, it's incredibly rewarding to witness students’ growth and success.
