How long have you worked with Beauty Works?
I became an Education Ambassador for Beauty Works around six months ago, which has been such an exciting step in my career. However, I’ve been using the brand and their products for over three years now. I’ve always loved the quality and variety of shades and product’s they offer.
What's the best piece of advice for someone starting out in the hair extensions industry?
My biggest advice is to invest in training. A solid foundation in technique and knowledge will set you apart. Know your target audience and consistently promote yourself on social media - it’s such a powerful tool for growing your brand and connecting with potential clients.
What do you think makes Beauty Works so special?
For me it’s the quality of the hair, it’s exceptional - it blends beautifully and continues to stay in good condition. The range of bespoke shades means there’s something for everyone, which makes customizing the perfect look so easy. But beyond the products, it’s the community and support that really make Beauty Works so special to me!
What hair concerns can you solve by using hair extensions on your clients?
Clients with finer or thinning hair, can add instant volume and fullness. They’re also perfect for clients who struggle to grow their hair past a certain length - extensions provide a way to achieve their dream hair almost instantly. Plus, for those wanting to add highlights or dimension without chemically treating their hair, extensions are a fantastic, damage-free option for playing with colour.
What would you say is your career highlight?
Becoming an Education Ambassador for Beauty Works has definitely been the highlight of my career so far - especially being the only ambassador in my region! It’s such an honor to be recognized and trusted to represent a brand I admire so much. It’s also been incredibly fulfilling to support and inspire other stylists along the way.
What is your favourite hair extension method?
My absolute favorite method is tape extensions. They’re so versatile, discreet, and gentle on the hair. I love how quick the application process is, and how natural the results look. They’re great for clients looking for a seamless blend with minimal damage.
What is your favourite Beauty Works hair extension shade?
My favorite shade is definitely Calabasas. It’s such a beautiful blonde tone and it works perfectly for so many of my blonde clients!
What do you think is the most underrated Beauty Works extension shade?
I think the shade Dubai is hugely underrated! It’s incredibly versatile and blends effortlessly with a wide range of natural hair colours.
What’s your favourite moment during a client’s hair extension journey?
I really love the cutting and blending stage - it’s where everything comes together, and the final look takes shape. But the most rewarding part for me is seeing the transformation in my clients. The boost in their confidence and how genuinely happy they are with their new look - that moment is everything
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since becoming an educator with Beauty Works?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to never give up on your goals. Becoming an educator was something I dreamed about for a long time, and I stayed consistent, kept learning, and continued to show up on social media - even when it felt far away. So, I always tell others: believe in yourself, keep showing up, and don’t stop chasing your dreams.
