Vicky Stanley brings over 25 years of experience in the hair industry and has owned her own salon for 17 of those years. A past winner of Wales and South West Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards and a two-time finalist for Franchisee of the Year, Vicky’s career is built on excellence and dedication. With 15 years specialising in hair extensions, she is passionate about education and has naturally progressed into her role as a Beauty Works Educator. Known for her thorough and supportive teaching style, Vicky empowers students to master precise application, deliver excellent consultations, and build confidence with every method. Her love for sharing knowledge and seeing learners’ excitement makes her a truly inspiring figure in the industry.


Get to know Vicky:
Can you tell us a bit about your background in the hair industry and how you became an educator for Beauty Works?
I have been in the industry for 25 years with my own salon for 17, i am a past winner of Wales and South West hairdresser of the year at the British hairdressing awards and have been up for franchisee of the year twice at the British hairdressing business awards. I was a past member of the fellowship fame team and spent my first years in the industry doing every competition I could. Every member of staff that has worked for me has trained with us as we run our own independent traineeships which naturally lead me into becoming an educator for Beauty Works as i have been specialising in hair extensions for the last 15 years and feel very passionate about the education side of them
What are the key skills or techniques that students will walk away with after completing your course?
Feeling confident with precise application method, excellent consultation skills and product knowledge to give their clients the best results possible
What's your favourite part of teaching the Beauty Works Hair Extensions Courses?
Seeing people's excitement at learning something new and their work after
How do you choose between tapes, wefts and nanos for different clients?
With a thorough consultation with my clients to work out what is best for their hair and lifestyle, making sure they can maintain whichever option and that they will blend seamlessly and be easy for them to look after
What advice would you give to stylists wanting to grow their extension business or introduce it into their services?
Be open minded to the many different things you can achieve with extensions, there's a method/option out there for almost everyone you just have to know what you can do with them. Prioritise your training to be the best at what you are offering
